Heavy-Duty Cat Scratcher Box & Chew-Safe Scratching Pad

Sale price $45.00 AUD
Description
A Permanent Habitat, Not A Disposable Box.

Cats rely on scent to define their territory. When you throw away a cheap cardboard box, you are throwing away their "safe space," causing unnecessary stress.

The amouu Heavy-Duty Nest is designed to be a permanent fixture in your home. By keeping the durable outer frame and only replacing the inner core, you preserve your cat’s familiar scent markers, making every new scratch pad feel instantly like home.

🏗️ The "Forever Frame" (8-Screw Stability)

We engineered the outer shell to last for years, not weeks.

  • Rock-Solid Structure: The high-density solid grayboard frame is locked together by an 8-Point Mechanical Screw System. It creates a rigid, non-deforming exoskeleton that won't wobble or collapse, no matter how big your cat is.

  • One-Time Assembly: Once assembled, the frame stays put. It’s a heavy-duty furniture piece that stands up to aggressive jumping and daily use without losing its shape.

🔄 Universal Refill System

Don't limit your cat's fun. The open-box design is built for versatility.

  • Drop-In Replacement: When the scratch pad eventually wears out, simply lift it out and drop in a new one. No need to disassemble the frame.

  • Endless Possibilities: This box isn't just for scratching. Its sturdy walls make it the perfect container for a cooling mat in summer, a plush cushion in winter, or a storage bin for their favorite toys. It evolves with your cat’s needs.

💎 Premium White Wood Pulp (Chew-Safe)

Inside the frame sits our exclusive White Scratching Pad, bonded with 100% Natural Corn Starch.

  • Purer & Denser: Crafted from A-Grade White Wood Pulp, this pad is significantly denser than standard brown cardboard. It resists shredding and produces minimal dust to keep your floors clean.

  • Natural Safety: We strictly use food-grade corn starch adhesive instead of chemical glues. It’s durable, eco-friendly, and completely safe for cats who love to bite and chew.

Didn't think it would work at first

The sides are a little high so I thought the little darlings would not be interested. Once I sprinkled in some catnip, it was love at first sight. One of them won't give it up for the other. Some assembly required but it took less than 5 minutes. A total hit.

Don’t try to teach old cats new tricks - and expect results; even with this very stable box

Yes, Boxes “always” attract cats, but if your cat is not a box cat - don’t expect them to be more attracted by this one: we tried everything-> different locations, catnip, toys. One sniffle, one time inside, one look then never used again. In essence this is mainly intended as a cat scratcher (in a box); but - the high walls make it somewhat difficult for cats to use it as such; better for young or small cats. Everything is made of heavy duty cardboard covered with slick paper and held together with plastic nuts. It is easy to assemble, especially if you recognize that the 3 little wings of the short side pieces need to fold inside the larger piece. The instructions show this clearly, but I was not alert to this fact initially. The scratcher portion fits snugly in the box, but still there is enough room to lift it out for replacement. The only overall drawback: the slick paper cover makes the entire box slippery and the box will slide on hard surfaces, like wood or tile. Likewise the corrugated cardboard insert too looks more like plastic, not cardboard - I wonder if my cat smells that and doesn’t like it for scratching.Like I said, I’ve added my own catnip to see if it attracts my kitty. It did ONCE, she sniffed the catnip and hopped into the box, looked around and that is the end of the box. - 1 week later and it is occupying floor but no cat.🌟*Verdict*🌟 => 3.5 STARS: nice concept and if your cat likes boxes it may be for them - but if not you may just have a fun looking, stable, but slick box - with no cat in sight. The walls of the box and the very slippery corrugated insert may add to the distraction. - At $27.90 original price a bit expensive. Would not buy again nor recommend.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=-> *My RATE SCALE*:⭐️ 1 Star = Shouldn’t be sold or is dangerous --> Do not buy!⭐️⭐️ 2 Stars = Too many problems/false claims/not as depicted --> Stay away!⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 Stars = On fence: passable, but wouldn’t bother again; --> Hesitant to recommend!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 Stars = Just minor imperfections --> Would buy/recommend!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars = Just Perfect! A very rare score!! -> Do Recommend!>> -> Please NOTE: I consider 4 Stars a very high rating.

Sturdy Scratch Lounge That Doubles as a Cozy Cat Bed

This scratcher box has been a great addition for my indoor cats. It functions as both a lounge and a scratch pad, which is ideal since my cats love to scratch and then immediately flop down like they just completed a marathon. The grayboard feels thick and durable, not the flimsy kind that shreds in a week. The white wood-pulp scratch surface holds up well to regular use and gives them a satisfying texture to dig into. It’s large enough for an average-sized cat to comfortably curl up on top, and mine have definitely claimed it as one of their favorite nap spots.Assembly was straightforward and didn’t require any complicated steps. Once put together, it feels stable and doesn’t wobble when they jump on it.The color design is bright and cheerful without being overwhelming, so it blends nicely into the room instead of looking like a random cardboard block. If you’re trying to save your furniture while giving your cats something they’ll actually use, this is a solid choice.

This is definitely a favor for cats

My cat that is almost finished with his kitten stage loves this little box. He doesn’t really scratch it. He just loves to go in there and put his toys in there. It’s a very sturdy item. You have to put it together, but it’s quite easy and took me probably 10 minutes. I definitely recommend it’s a great price for a fun item for the cat and especially when they start scratching it, but my cat, I guess doesn’t want to ruin his bed. He loves to just sleep in it and play with his toys. Overall, it’s a great item. Definitely recommend.

Cute box with scratch pad

This is a well made box. It comes in flat and is assembled with plastic screws and bits that can be installed with your hands. The box is made of a thick board that is very durable and does not bend. The scratch pad is almost 2” thick. I have one at that loves cardboard type scratching pads and another car that likes to turn any random box into a litter box. Current it’s just a box on the floor and has been for several days. Hopefully the scratching cat will take interest in it…soon. I think it’s well made and if the cats take interest it will be worth the money. The box I think will be be beneficial in catching the shredded cardboard.

Cats love it

My cats love boxes and they love scratching boards, so when I saw this was both, I knew they’d love it. They mostly love to nap in it, but I’ve caught them using as a scratcher every now and then. The quality of the box and the board seem very good. Please know you’ll have to “build” the box, but it’s extremely easy and everything you need is included. The box is very sturdy, so when the scratcher bites the dust you can refill with another (either purchased or you can totally make your own!)Picture of my largest cat who weighs at least 20 pounds so you can see how large it is.

My cat got in the second I finished putting it together

My cat was trying to climb into this thing while I was still putting it together. The assembly is pretty simple - you just bend the side pieces along the creases and use the included plastic screws to hold everything in place. The whole process took me maybe 2-3 minutes. The screws are completely clear plastic though, and they come in a little bubble wrap bag, so they blend into basically any surface. I'd count them out onto a plate or something before you start, because if one rolls off the table you're going to have a hard time finding it.The box itself feels a lot sturdier than the typical corrugated cardboard scratchers I've gone through. Those always start sagging after a week or two, but the grayboard on this one is rigid and has a smooth finish on the outside. The scratch pad insert is white instead of the usual brown cardboard, and it does seem denser. I haven't noticed much dust or debris around it either, which is a change from what I'm used to.My cat has been sitting in it pretty much every minute since I set it up. She likes to sit in it and meow at me until I come over and praise her on what a nice scratcher she has, she's very proud of her new box and likes to show it off!

Cat scratcher box and bed

The media could not be loaded.

Assembly was easy and no tools were necessary. The bed box part of this scratcher will hold up for many refills... strong and sturdy. The scratcher part is a white poster board looking alternative to the traditional brown light cardboard material. This box is very roomy, so large and extra large cats are welcome. Multiple smaller cats that are friendly would enjoy sharing this box together. The scratcher part is easy to remove and replace once it's worn out. The colors and images on the box are fun and cute.

Cats love it. Attractive, sturdy alternative to giving them a random cardboard box.

I got this cat scratcher box in hopes of encouraging my cats to sleep somewhere besides my clean laundry or random bins I am trying to use to organize. If they’d stop scratching my door frames that would be a nice bonus but I’m not holding out hope.I was impressed by the quality of this box. I kind of expected a flimsy cardboard box I’d be able to reuse maybe a couple of times tops. However, the outer box is pretty solid. The designs are printed well - bold and clear. It looks a lot nicer than just giving them a used shipping box to play with. The box assembles quite easily by hand. There are clear plastic screws and nuts included and only 8 holes. The instructions are well printed on glossy paper. They are easy to understand and the production value is good. The scratcher board drops easily in place once the box is assembled. The instructions indicate that replacement scratcher boards for the bottom can be purchased.I placed the box near the previous location of a laundry basket the cats liked to sleep in. They took to it right away and now fight over it so I guess I’ll probably have to get another one. It’s also become a nice storage place for their toys. If I find one while cleaning I toss it in the box and later I’ll find them playing with it there.Overall I am happy with the look and the sturdiness of the box and the cats love it!

Both Cats Love It - Easy Assembly - Perfect Fit

Both of our cats love this scratcher box. We have a cardboard based box, but it is a bit too small for them to lay down comfortably. The new box is easy to assemble and required no tools although you could use a screwdriver to get the plastic screws really tight if you wanted. I do like the scratching material better than our older cardboard material. Our cats immediately took to the new scratcher box, and our older (and fluffier) cat appreciates the larger size. The build quality is much better than your typical cardboard scratcher. Overall, the cats love the scratcher, so we love it as well.

Cute scratcher, kitty approved.

This is made with a plastic coated thick cardboard that feels very durable. The scratch pad is kind of thin compared to how deep the box is that holds it. I put some catnip in it and my cat really enjoyed laying in it. The screws are easy to use and the whole thing was super easy to put together. I think really playful cats might want to bite or chew on the screws which could come unscrewed and get ingested if you aren't watching but I luckily didn't have that problem with my cat and I think if you were to put just a dab of super glue on the thread of the screw before you put the nut on it would prevent this issue. My cat is also about 15lbs with a stocky body and shorter legs but fit in this scratcher nicely.

This is her home meow - Cat loves it, quality material, easy assembly - superb!

Wow, this is really a well engineered high quality cat bed/scratcher combo! The pieces are all top notch, the printing is clear, the parts are all quality machined for perfect assembly - as far as comparing this to similar products my mind was blown. I’m used to other being cheaply made for abuse and tossing out, but this is a long term keeper. Very durable and designed for the long haul. The box itself is thick with printed finished surfaces, comes in three pieces, and is assembled with transparent screws/nuts. All holes are machined cleanly for assembly, and once tightened it holds its shape well. The scratching board/mat insert is also quality over bare bones brown cardboard- it seems stronger and should last a long time. When inserting, mind the plastic screws/nuts. There is a little room left open in the sides of the platform to allow ease of insertion/removal. Well thought out design. As you can see in the images, this is a very nice piece, looks great, and assembles quickly/easily. One of my cats claimed it as hers right away. She is usually the timid one, but this is HERS. She stayed in it for hours on the first night watching tv, grooming, and drifted off to sleep with her head resting on the corner. I’d like to think she’ll share but I might have to get a couple more for the other kitties. A huge winner in our house.

Great size, cute design, easy assembly

My cats love boxes and cardboard scratchers, so I was glad to find this. It's very easy to assemble (basically just folding a single piece of cardboard up), and I really appreciate that they use plastic screws and nuts to hold it together, rather than rubber bands or fabric ties (like I've seen in similar products). Since I'm pretty sure that one of my cats was a chainsaw in a past life, I'm a lot less worried about her eating these than I would be with rubber bands.

Great Box

I have several of these cardboard boxes, and this one is one of the better ones! First, the price is way better than the others I've seen - at $19, its a great deal! Then, you can just replace the inserts as needed over time since the outside is a bit better made than the typical cardboard box variants. My cats love it. If you don't have a scratcher box for your cat yet, you should get one!

My two cats use it all the time and it has held up exceptionally well!

I have owned the Amouu Cardboard Cat Scratcher Box & Bed for a month now and waited to see how well it stood up to two cats before writing a review. The product is very well made and has been used daily by my two cats. The only part that shows wear is of course the scratch pad in the bottom. Both cats enjoy scratching the horizontal surface and carry toys back to the box to play or nap. The structure of the box still looks new and has held up fantastically. The box is made from sturdy cardboard, and the scratch pad is replaceable. I gladly recommend this product if you are looking for a box that will last.

Binx is a spoiled kitty.

Cat Scratxher Box & Bed,Binx is our little feral cat that came with a horse barn. He has become accustomed to a certain lifestyle she would like to maintain, and that means buying her cute toys. This is the perfect little box in bed that I can put up in the hayloft for her and she can snuggle in. It was easy to put together and slid it right up in the hay.Overall, great product and great value.

Cozy Cat Scratcher Box That Doubles as a Lounge

I am really happy with this cat scratcher box because it works as both a scratch pad and a comfy resting spot. The grayboard surface feels thick and durable, and it holds up well to daily scratching. My cat took to it quickly, which is always a good sign. The box design gives it a cozy, contained feel that makes it more inviting than a flat scratcher. I like that it keeps scratching focused in one place instead of on furniture. The pad fits securely and does not slide around inside the box. It was simple to set up and feels sturdy once assembled. The clean design looks neat in the room instead of messy or bulky. Overall, it is a practical and cat approved addition that keeps claws busy and couches safe.
